Global Tourism Passed 1.5 Billion Arrivals in 2025 -- Trackers Split Between 1.52B and 1.55B
UN Tourism's World Tourism Barometer counted 1.52 billion international tourist arrivals in 2025, a 4% rise over 2024 and a new post-pandemic record. WTTC's independent tally of international overnight arrivals lands close behind at 1.54 billion, while aggregator RoadGenius cites a higher, less-attributed 1.55 billion figure framed as a 2025 projection rather than a confirmed count. All three agree 2025 topped 1.5 billion and beat 2019 -- they diverge on the exact scale and on how confidently that number can be sourced.
